The first race of the 2008 Summer Series #1 came off like it was made just for the competitors, great wind, sunshine and 49 boats participating. Excellent race committee team headed up by Randy Draftz executed perfectly timed starts for the most number of fleets started for a regular CORA race, there were 6 to be exact. Afterwards, competitors met at Charleston Yacht Club for burgers, which will be available on all futureWednesday nights after the races.
If you missed this race, you missed a great opportunity to get out and enjoy racing on Charleston Harbor, breaking up the work week. Ya'll come on out next Wednesday, if we're lucky, we'll have as equal weather conditions and a fun race for all.

Thanks Pricilla Parker for your words and pictures! More GREAT pictures on the Pictures Page!
