The Charleston Ocean Racing Association (CORA) was formed in 1967 and races year round in Charleston's historic harbor and offshore waters. The primary objective of this Association is to promote sailing and to encourage good fellowship among sailors, afloat and ashore. With this in mind we run over 30 races per year for boats generally 24 feet or larger. We host a national marquee event, Charleston Race Week, with over 200 boats from around the country. We also have 9 monthly meetings per year with a dinner presentation, and of course we have great after race parties. You get all this for a $35 associate membership.
COME TO A CORA MEETING. They are the third Thursday of every month, 6:30pm at the Charleston Yacht Club, except for June, July and August where we race weekly.
